Tiara Tuesdays - Networking for a Cause with a Touch of Flare
June 10 2009 : July 16 2009  Dress for Success Hartford

Dress for Success Hartford will be benefiting from Hartford's newest networking event, Tiara Tuesdays! Tiara Tuesday will be held on Tuesday 7/14 from 5:00-7:00 at Trumbull Kitchen, in Downtown Hartford.  A $10.00 donation gets you in the door to network with other professionals. There will be free hors d'oeuvres and one Tiara Tuesday specialty drink included with your entrance fee.  

Ladies - tiaras will be available to purchase for $15.00, or wear your own.  Gentlemen, tiaras not required but your presence is! Bring your business cards with you and please spread the news to all your friends!  

This event will be a monthly event, each one will be held in a different restaurant.  

 
100% of your $10.00 donation will go directly to Dress for Success Hartford.  It will be a fun time for a great cause and your participation will absolutely make a difference

What is it?
Stepping Out in Style is the premier annual fundraising event for Dress for Success Indianapolis. It is a night of fashion, great food, loads of fun, and critical fundraising for Dress for Success Indianapolis. The evening includes a sponsored cocktail hour, dinner and fashion show. This seventh annual event will be held on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. Cocktail reception begins at 5pm, followed by dinner and a fashion show. Guests can purchase raffle tickets for premier jewelry and also try their hand at the Diamond Dig!

Who attends?
In 2008, the nearly 1,000 guests who attended were primarily professional women from the Indianapolis community, ages 25-65. In 2009, we expect more than 1,000 guests!

Who participates?
The event features high-profile Indianapolis area women as the emcee, honorary chair and the models, as well as Dress for Success Indianapolis Clients who are also models. Upscale local boutiques provide clothes for the fashion show and esteemed members of the Indianapolis Fire Department serve as escorts.

Dress for Success Tulsa has scheduled its annual "Step Up To Success" Fashion Show and Auction to be held on Friday, September 25th, 2009 at Greenwood Cultural Center.  This event will incorporate a silent and live auction along with a Fashion Show with local business women and men. 
The food is fantastic and the auction items are a must have! 

We have the great privilege of having Joi Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide as our guest speaker.  Joi is a Bishop Kelley graduate with her B.A. in radio/television broadcasting from OU and her juris doctorate from its College of Law. The 2nd annual fundraising breakfast targeted to women in business - finance, technology, banking, insurance and law - is designed to accomplish four goals:

  • Raise awareness that Dress for Success is more than just a provider of suits, but also an organization that promotes the economic independence of women worldwide.
  • Celebrate those who have already helped other women advance up the professional ladder and grow both personally and professionally by offering inspiration, guidance and personal experience.
  • Issue a call to action to the audience to help Dress for Success achieve our expanded mission by 1) becoming a mentor, 2) donating time and knowledge through our financial literacy program,   3) volunteering as a guest speaker at a financial literacy seminar or Professional Women’s Group meeting and/or 4) becoming a financial donor to our organization.
  • Promote our Financial Literacy Program which launched in New York City in summer 2008 thanks to the support of Microsoft.
